ACT 3 emerged out of two decades of the pastoral and writing ministry of John H. Armstrong in service to both pastors and mission groups in numerous capacities in North America and beyond.
ACT 3 exists to equip leaders in the unity of Christ's mission.
We serve the Christian Church as an equipping mission. Our desire is to help those who most influence the church understand how unity in the mission of Jesus Christ can and will spread his kingdom to the ends of the earth. We believe this requires new paradigms thus we intentionally train leaders in understanding and practicing this new missional paradigm. From the beginning of ACT 3 in 1991we have encouraged doctrinal and ethical reformation joined with informed prayer for spiritual awakening.
From the beginning we have also encouraged the transformation of church leadership. We believe Christian leaders need to be faithful to both Scripture and tradition. We also believe that there is an urgent need to encourage and support ministers to practical theology as they search for fresh ways to incarnate the Christian message more powerfully. This is done in small mentoring cohort groups, by means of two-day forums, and in seminary and college classes and chapels where leaders are present. We also believe that informal life-giving spiritual counsel and friendship are a vital part of renewal by the Spirit. Click here to read what others are saying about ACT 3.
