Prayer Requests for the Week of August 24—30

  1. John will travel to Michigan later this week to share in a time of prayer and fellowship with the leaders of the National Revival Network, a group he has worked with for many years. The primary purpose is prayer and encouragement. Pray for journey mercies and a rich time of blessing in the Lord’s presence.

1. John takes part in the board retreat of Biblical Theological Seminary this week. Please pray for his travel and for this two-day board meeting. Pray for President David Dunbar, the faculty and staff, and board members. Dr. Dunbar is a featured speaker for our annual ACT 3 Conference, November 3-4, 2006.

2. John’s health has improved a little bit over the past six weeks. Thanks for your prayer and for the many words of encouragement. Continuing to follow the course of rest and work, mentioned a few weeks ago, will hopefully lead to better health in the coming months.

3. Our May financial appeal has gone well but we have not secured as much as we will need to complete the summer without debt, if the past is an indicator of the present and the future. Pray that God will supply our need and that we will spend wisely and frugally, especially during the summer months.

4. Several of our Internet domain names expired, due to a clerical error in our office, thus we are renewing them this week. If you have tired our blog, www.johnharmstrong.com, and found it not working please bear with us and try again later this week. Also, pray that we can solve this issue as quickly as possible.

2. We hope to complete the first stage of work on the journal (15:2) and then give it to our designer this week. This, then, leads to proof pages that must be edited and further proofs by the end of this week. Pray that this project can be completed before the end of May.

3. John is working on completing the manuscript for the forthcoming Zondervan book on The Lord’s Supper. Writing and editing should be done by July 1, and then the text will be given to the publisher for a scheduled 2007 release. Pray for the strength to complete this past-due project.

4. John continues to write blogs every few days. These are various articles and comments posted at www.johnharmstrong.com. We encourage you to check these out.
